It helps to include:

• Your iPhone model and iOS version
• The version of Bloom, shown on its App Store page
• What you did, and what happened instead

Lost your forest? Bloom stores everything on your device and nowhere else, so deleting the app deletes your sessions permanently. There is no backup to restore from — see the privacy policy below for why.

Privacy Policy

Bloom is a focus timer. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.

The short version: Bloom does not collect anything. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers. Everything the app remembers is stored on your own device and never leaves it.

What Bloom stores on your device

Bloom saves the following locally, so the app still knows what you were doing after you close it:

• Your focus sessions — when each one finished, how long it lasted, which tree you grew, and whether you completed or abandoned it.
• The tree you have selected, and which trees you have unlocked through your total study time.
• Your settings — sound and finish-chime preferences, whether session notifications are enabled, your week-start, day-start and time-zone preferences, and your chosen language.
• A session in progress, so that a running timer survives closing or restarting the app.

All of this is written to your device’s private app storage. It is not transmitted anywhere, and no one but you can read it.

What Bloom does not do

• It does not create an account or ask for your name, email, or any other personal detail.
• It does not contain analytics, tracking, crash reporting, or advertising.
• It does not use third-party services that collect data about you.
• It does not access your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or location.
• It does not make any network connections. Bloom works entirely offline.

Notifications

If you turn on session notifications, Bloom asks iOS for permission to send them. These are local notifications: your device schedules and delivers them itself when your session ends. Nothing is sent to a server, and no push notification service is involved. You can turn them off inside Bloom, or in the iOS Settings app.

Children

Bloom is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

Deleting Bloom from your device removes everything it has stored, permanently. Because none of it was ever copied anywhere else, there is nothing further to request or erase, and nothing for us to delete on your behalf.

Information Apple receives

Bloom is distributed through the App Store. Apple collects its own information about downloads and purchases under Apple’s privacy policy, which is outside our control and unrelated to anything the app itself does.

Changes to this policy

If Bloom gains a feature that changes any of the above — for example a friends list, which would require accounts and a server — this policy will be updated before that feature is released, and the date at the top will change.
